Personal Statement:

I value loyalty and dependability in myself and others. Those were values that were passed down through my family tree for at least three generations. From my personal experience, dependability and loyalty creates a stronger bond between people.

I was born in Japan when my parents were stationed in Tokyo with the US Army. My mother is from Colorado and worked in the legal profession over 20 years. My father is from Oklahoma and was a career military police officer.

As the oldest of three children, I took great pride in providing service to my brothers by grooming, teaching and protecting them when we were young. Over the years I became very resourceful and was the “go to” person for my friends, family and elders who needed my advice. In addition, I have assisted elders in organizing their medical and legal affairs and advocated for them in situations when information or assistance was not readily available.

I come from a long line of family members who were hairdressers, seamstresses, groundskeepers and small business owners. As an Administrative Assistant and Office Manager, I spent 20 years working in a medical hospital system with the Federal Government. In the community arena, I served in an administrative capacity with local charities that hosted annual fundraising events.

My style of service is formal and therefore I prefer to work in an environment that is structured and well organized but kind and caring. My Myers-Briggs rating is Sensor-Director and I have the ability to maintain a calm and focused demeanor under stressful conditions.

My vision is to work as a Elder Care/Household Manager anywhere in the US.

My Highest Three Standards are:

Clothing – Personal appearance and style is very important to me. I learned how to sew my own garments when I was in grade school. I became very proficient in clothing design, garment alterations, care of clothing, spot removal, wardrobe management and closet organization and helped my associates coordinate their business and evening attire. I received certificates in pattern drafting, design and color analysis.

Administrative – I have a business mind. I am also easily able to manage vendors and nursing care support. I have extensive experience in office management. I am skilled in using Microsoft Office, Excel spreadsheets, Outlook calendar management, computer programming, and composing official correspondence. I volunteered with various community organizations to help organize administrative tasks associated with the fundraising activities. Using excel spreadsheets I set up records for membership lists, expense ledgers, meeting agendas and meeting minutes; media scripts, guests lists, schedules, auction items, sponsors and vendors, and perform internet research.

Elder Care – I love all types of medical care and the well being of active elders. I love providing customizing, nursing care, nutrition, housekeeping, transportation and any other personal supports regarding their overall quality of life

My ultimate vision would be to create a large gracious home for residents over 65. Arrange fabulous culinary meals, interesting outings, provide a clean and well ordered environment and a group lifestyle that is nurturing, caring and supportive.
