I was raised in a conservative, stable family in Dallas, Texas. Both of my parents worked, and through their commitment to the family, I gained a strong work ethic. I’m not satisfied until a job is complete and executed to the best of my ability. I was very lucky to have my Father until the age of 93, and his recent passing has given me a deep respect for life and the aging process. Two other values I hold as the foundation for my life are dependability and honesty. For me, true integrity comes from being honest with yourself and others and always keeping your ‘word’. My experience is that when I do that, I am centered and most of life’s challenges become opportunities. As a Household Manager, my goal is to support a single Principal or a Couple in creating and maintaining a beautiful home environment that reflects their lifestyle and supports their business goals, personal aspirations, and their work in the community. Because I grew up in the South, I have a natural sense of protocol and graciousness. Having lived in California for many years, I am also experienced in a more casual environment that pays attention to healthy lifestyles. I believe in a methodical approach to organizing roles and tasks that create a foundation for managing a home, so I can easily adapt to the changing priorities of my employers or those unavoidable events that are bound to occur. I’m known as a ‘patient’ person and for remaining calm in chaotic situations. My personality is outgoing, and I thrive on interaction with people. I am very diligent when performing tasks, but have a sense of humor that can lighten-up most situations. I can be counted on for the utmost confidentiality. My professional background includes a successful marketing career in Fortune 500 companies where I gained proficient computer skills and the ability to manage people, projects, time-lines and budgets. I have the administrative and organizational skills to keep the myriad of tasks around a home and the ongoing personnel issues in balance and centered around the Principals standards and lifestyle. I am as efficient in taking a hands-on approach to numerous household projects as I am experienced in managing a variety of vendors to deliver quality services. I also offer extensive knowledge in property and grounds as a result of my passion for horticulture from a very early age. I am a California State Certified Nurseryman having worked in and managed two garden centers. For a time, I owned a landscape design company for small businesses and residences. I have the knowledge to create beautiful, formal gardens, plant the kitchen vegetable and herb plot, or supervise the most knowledgeable vendors for large projects and installations. I also worked for a florist and have the ability to bring a home alive with fresh flower arrangements styled to the Principals taste. Perhaps most important is my love of housekeeping and my personal demands for impeccable cleanliness and order in a home. I have a detailed eye for organization and catching even the smallest items out of place or in need of cleaning. I have been solely responsible for the purchase, design, organization and maintenance of my two homes. My degree in Art History has given me a deep respect and knowledge of antiquities and art collections of any type. I have the ability and desire to maintain their care and safety to high standards. A few more personal notes would have to include my love of all animals and the enjoyment of their care, my experience as a world traveler and knowledge of international cultures, and my love of simple, healthy cooking and entertaining. I truly love the home. My desire is to utilize my skills, life experience and unwavering commitment to excellence to become the champion for the lifestyle and service goals of my future Principal. |
