Personal Statement: |
As an experienced Household Manager, Ms. WG’s greatest strength is ability to lead and to interact with other people. As she states herself, “my service vision is to bring balance and harmony into the family structure.” To do that, Ms. WG relies on her strong ethical roots. Coming from two self employed working parents in Richmond, Virginia, Ms. WG is the youngest of three girls. “Early on, I knew I had a service heart,” reminisces Ms. WG. “As a kid, I was constantly picking up around the house, putting everything in its place, even back then. We had a housekeeper, but I asked that she NOT clean my room. I had a place for everything and everything in its place, and wanted to do the work myself to make sure my high personal standards were met. As I got older, my desire to help others grew too. Throughout my teenage years, I volunteered at a nursing home. This was a tremendously gratifying experience, and is something I still do. I love making a difference and having an impact in the lives of others.” With a natural eye for fashion, Ms. WG graduated with a degree in Fashion Design. Applying both her creative and administrative talents, Ms. WG devoted most of her career to retail and business concerns. Establishing her own boutique in 1995, Ms. WG gained great experience in managing staff as well as attractive interior design for the store. More than just a smooth manager, Ms. WG is accustomed to dealing with high end clothes and the specialized care they require. Ms. WG is adept at seasonal wardrobe rotations and effective closet organization. In personal care, Ms. WG feels right at home, whether it is taking care of older children, an elder parent or a beloved family pet. In all cases, establishing a schedule is helpful in giving a secure home, from picking children up at school to administering critical medication. Having worked in a family with two teenage daughters for four years, Ms. WG is well versed in the understanding and structure that older children need to feel secure in their own homes. Having a casual and hands-on management style, Ms. WG would also be very comfortable in a household that has a small staff. “I’ve learned to be creative in my communication,” explains Ms. WG, understanding that communication is the key to running any household effectively. “I think well on my feet, I’m very loyal and I welcome personal growth. Above all, I continue to look forward to serve.” |
